The Vojtech Löffler Museum is currently an important cultural institution in Košice, which remains constantly present in the consciousness of the cultural public. The museum also presents the work of the young artistic generation and is part of the cultural base of the city of Košice. In addition to exhibitions, the museum organises workshops on the theme of visual arts, talks and friendly meetings with artists, book presentations and spoken word evenings. There have been several dozen of these events so far. It also offers chamber music concerts organised in the permanent exhibition and in the courtyard. The museum provides its visitors with guided tours, the sale of exhibition catalogues and promotional material.

The museum operates a permanent exhibition of the works of Vojtech Löffler and his rich art collection of works by Košice artists. The Vojtech Löffler Memorial Room is also part of the exhibition.

In 1993, the municipal district of Košice - Old Town established the Vojtech Löffler Museum, thanks to the generous decision of Mr. Vojtech Löffler and his wife Klára to donate their work, house and concentrated art collection of extraordinary cultural value to the city of Košice. Thanks to this donation, which represented more than 2,000 exhibits, a unique collection of self-portraits by twentieth-century Košice artists, a collection of folk ceramics and the artist's own sculptural work were made available to visitors.

In the collection of self-portraits, Vojtech Löffler has concentrated the works of several generations of artists who were essential for the development of Košice's visual arts in the past century. Among the artists represented in this collection are personalities of Košice painting - Konštantín Kövári-Kačmarik, Ľudovít Čordák, Eugen Krón, Konštantín Bauer, Ľudovít Feld, Imrich Oravecz, Július Jakoby, Juraj Collinásy, Alexander Eckerdt, works by Štefan Roskoványi and Michal Čičvák.

Vojtech Löffler was aware of the fundamental need to support the youngest artistic generation. His decision to donate his own collection to the city was conditioned by the creation of an exhibition stage for contemporary art in the ground floor of the museum, which created space for young and emerging artists to exhibit. From the memoirs of memoirists and the actions of the artist himself, we can see generosity and a conviction of the need to help, and these values can be felt in Vojtech Löffler's lifelong attitude. The artist's sculptural work presents him as a sculptor, an exclusive figuralist, and presents a large and articulated body of chamber and small sculpture.

The collection includes works by the artist from the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s to the very end of the artist's career. Based on this, we can perceive the values of his sculpture and the free transformations of his sculptural vision. His work was dominated by materials such as stone, bronze, pewter, marble and exotic wood.
