The permanent exhibition presents a selection of more than 2,000 exhibits of master's unique collection. There is a collection of folk ceramics and pottery, where have an important place exhibits of Hollóháza production from the second half of the 19th century, but also Muráň, Holíč and Kremnica origin.
Several generations of artist who played a crucial role in the history of the 20th century art in Košice are represented in this collection of self-portraits, including such names as Konštantín Kövári-Kačmarik, Ľudovít Čordák, Eugen Krón, Konštantín Bauer, Ľudovít Feld, Imrich Oravecz, Július Jakoby, Juraj Collinásy, Alexander Eckerdt, Štefan Roskoványi and Michal Čičvák.
The collection of Löffler’s figurative sculptures covers the period from 1940s until the very end of his career, tracing the gradual development of his art and vision. Throughout his creative life, the materials he preferred were stone, Bronze and exotic wood.
A theme prevalent in his works, however, is that of a woman, interpreting various moments from her life. Formally, Löffler’s sculptures always favour precise craftsmanship and regard the beauty of the material itself. Löffler’s smaller sculptures and compositions, often made of precious materials such as ivory, coral, amber or silver, are equally interesting and masterfully executed.
